Mango is a Cairns-based architectural
practice specialising in planning and architectural design
that is appropriate to tropical lifestyles.
We are committed to working in a partnership with our clients
to achieve their project goals and outcomes that are environmentally
sustainable.
We believe in architecture that has modern style, is expressive
of function and materials and embodies sustainable design
principles. Our work is inspired by traditional building
forms from tropical areas, such as the Queenslander, the
Australian beach shack, Pacific Island huts and South East
Asian compounds. Our buildings consume less energy and resources
and are cooler for occupants.
James
Maude, has worked on a broad range
of projects in the North Queensland region for more than
ten years.
We have skills and experience in:
| • |
feasibility
and planning studies, including master planning, schematic
design, urban design and funding submissions |
| • |
design and
documentation of residential, community and commercial
projects |
| • |
project management
and contract documentation of a diverse range of projects,
including remote area projects |
| • |
working effectively
with community groups and Indigenous people, using
participatory processes. |
Our office of five staff, based in Parramatta
Park, is well resourced to respond to your project needs.
We utilise state of the art building modeling software and
produce 3-d models continuously during the design process
so that clients have a greater understanding of the end
product.
