James is the Director of Studio Mango and senior architect and manager.

James arrived in Cairns in 1994 and failed to leave again. For six years he worked first for a number of local firms as an employee and contractor, and then as a sole practioner. In 2000 Studio Mango was established and has been growing steadily since.

James has fourteen years experience in tropical architecture and planning. With his long standing passion for Green architecture, a regional modernist approach, and strong design and planning skills, James has helped Studio Mango become one of Cairns' leading architectural practices.

James is a Queensland registered architect (#30690) and a member of the Australian Institute of Architects. He received a Bachelor of Architecture with Honours from Adelaide University in 1992.
